Here is the place where you can have fun with your company sitting around
the Irori-fire place and forgetting about time passing away.
Since my retirement, I constructed it at the rear of the Salon.
Sometime I invite my friends or the salon staffs, we spend joyfull time
eating cooked fish by charcoal, nabe pot and also having a tea celemony.
Also we can enjoy Karaoke.
But, time to time, I spend quiet evening by myself with a glass of sake
on my heart in this space is one of my happiest moment. If you have an
opportunity, come and visit Syarakuan. |

| My encounter with Sigin |
It was my high school days when i first knew about "shigin" which is reciting a chinese poem..
One of my Japanese teacher, one day, suddenly started reciting in front
of us and I was so impressed without knowing shigin.. Through the teacher
I had interests in shigin which is one of traditional culture of Japan.
But when I enter a company, my job and other hobbies filled may day. Since
I started thinking about my retirement in my 50's, I was introduced to
the Nagaragawa Gakuseikai which is one of the party of the most famous
Shigin group Gakuseiryu Nihon Ginin. For over 13 years I have been taught
by maestro Kasugai Seikoh. |

The headquarter of Gakusei Ryu Nihin Ginin is situated in Kawasaki city,
every june, National competition is taken place on a large scale. And that
occasion our party participate in the ivent.
The head maestro Gakusei Yokoyama (the picture on the right) is a greate
artist who deserves praise. He established the foundation in the field,
has been leading his followers and he keeps conducting actively in the
foundation Nihon Ginken Shibu Shinkoukai.
By recognition of his merits, in 1982 he was awarded Ranjyuhousyo, in 1993
he was given Kun Gotou Zuihousyo.
It has been over 30 years since the establishment of Gakuseiryu and it's
principle is "Shin Zen Bi", Truth, virtue and grace.
Everytime before practicing shigin, all the member chants his principle.
- By reciting a poem shall reach to the truth
- By reciting a poem shall evoke the virtue of heart
- By reciting a poem shall be impressed by the grace
